| 21. Triple is this, the gate to hell, destructive Of the Self: LUST, WRATH, and GREED,Therefore; these three, one should abandon.The gate to hell: the gate leading to bell (naraka). By merely entering at the gate, the self is ruined, i. e is fit for no human end whatever. Since this gate is ruinous to the self, let every one abandon these three: lust, wrath and greed. Here follows the praise of this abandonment. | ||||

| 21. "Desire (Kama), Anger (Krodha), greed (Lobha)-those three are the condensation of Aasuri Sampat or demoniac propensities which are the cause for Naraka or Hell. | ||||
